Mas near St Laurent
This ancient MAS in the Pyrenees had barely been touched for over a hundred years when our client purchased it this year. The challenge will be to provide a standard of accommodation appropriate for the twenty-first century, whilst retaining the character and the remaining vestiges of the eighteenth!

Le Bruc:
Unusually, this building retained its stone roof, known as 'llauzes en ecailles de poisson' ( fishscale tiles), which form a very distinctive and attractive feature. These were also used to clad the new link building between the house and the barn which was formely a sheep-fold.

Hauts de Vinas
Whilst this fabulous site was bought relatively cheaply, an underlying clay pocket was revealed after soil tests. This, together with the steep slope required special foundations which although an unexpected expense, overcame a potentially unbuildable site.

Mouriez
This rock musician Client wanted to include a sound studio in a design for a new life in France with his wife and young family. The traditional building and roof carpentry of the huge attic provides both an informal and dramatic setting for their many friends and family.

Las Vignes de Prop
Having lived in the local village for several years, our Clients decided that life in France was indeed for them, and a new house was designed to respond to contours of the spectacular site they purchased overlooking both the valley and the snow topped Canigou.

Vilbernin
This cottage south of the Loire is typical of many of our projects. The Stable end has been incorporated into a general refurbishment, to provide a double height Salon. After re roofing, sandblasting the timbers, adding new dormers, converting the roof space and providing underfloor heating, this lovely old cottage has been given a new lease of life.
