Large Mas near a French Pyrenees village for completion We have been shown a really rather exceptional "MAS" - a traditional Catalan farmhouse - in an extremely isolated location in the area between Thuir and Ceret. The building has been granted a certificat d'urbanisme for residential use. At the moment, the owners have repaired and re-roofed the building, using some of my favourite artisans, and the Mas is left as a weather-tight shell for completion by the purchaser. This is a highly unusual project insofar as the views are spectacular, the site is isolated and extremely private and yet the design remains to be achieved and offers almost total freedom to do what the owner wishes. It is in a lovely area for walking and enjoying unspoilt countryside. Not too far from the Mediterranean, and very close to the Spanish border.

The site area is 2700 m2, it is within the village boundary and is therefore buildable.
